"Will" Short Film
We are filming a short film based off of the life of a Vancouver city firefighter who passed away in a tragic accident. It is a coming of age tale revolving around a determined son and his charmingly obnoxious father and their developing bond through basketball.
Dates of Principal Photography: September 19-23, 2016
Date of audition: Thursday July 28, 2016
Casting audition location: Downtown Vancouver (exact address will be sent in our response to you).
Who we need:
Dad: Around 35-45 years of age. Athletic, boisterous father figure. Great sense of humor, but can show determination and seriousness. Caring and loving. Basketball scenes, so slight knowledge of how to play the game is preferable.
Teenage Will: 16-18 years of age, but can work with over 18 if you look young. Athletic. Reserved, focused, and shows determination. Basketball scenes, should show some proficiency in the game.
Young Will: 7-10 years of age. Athletic. Excited and energized. Basketball scenes, should know how to dribble.
Mom: 30-40 years of age. Must be able to wear emotion on face well and will need to cry on cue.
Sister: Must look 15-18 years of age. May need to cry on cue.
Firefighter: Must look 34-45, well-built and must be able to wear emotion on face well.
